Similkameen Sizzle Asking for Volunteers

Posted By tfindlay on May 16, 2011

On Saturday September 17th, we will be celebrating the 10th Annual Similkameen Sizzle Pepper Festival- Canada’s only Pepper Festival!!  Without volunteers, this event is just not possible.  Recognizing that it’s hard to volunteer blindly, this year we have created committee’s that will allow you to volunteer in the area of most interest to you.

Set-up and Vendor Committee – In addition to helping with the set up, this committee helps to attract food and non-food vendors to the Sizzle.

Breakfast Committee – The annual Pancake Breakfast is worth the visit!  Your help ensures the Pancake breakfast  is part of Sizzle for years to come!

Tenth Anniversary Committee – 2011 marks the 10th Anniversary of the Similkameen Sizzle, your help will make it memorable.

Entertainment Committee – You love entertaining people and want an opportunity to choose how the crows is entertained, this committee is for you.

Raffle & Merchandise Committee – Sizzle T-Shirts, Sizzle hats, Sizzle Aprons – what else should we be selling at the Similkameen Sizzle?  Have an idea?  This committee is for you.

Chili Cook Off Committee – One of our most popular events, the consumer’s choice chili cook off needs you to help it run smoothly.

Advertising & Sponsorship Committee – Our Sponsors help keep this family event free of charge.  If you love speaking to people this is the committee for you.

Please e-mail Colleen at Similkameen Country to volunteer - siminfo@nethop.net

With great joy, The Pomme Desiree Iced Apple has been awarded “BEST FRUIT WINE IN CANADA” at the prestigious Canadian Wine Awards 2010/11. Luscious, tempting, irresistable, this wine brings the palate to new heights by touching every sensory point in the mouth with flavours of apple pie, candy apple, caramelized apple, and balanced by fine acidity. This wine lingers on palate forever and can be served as a liquid dessert or as a mouthwatering apple martini.
